Sunday is usually my day off, but today Five Points hosted an SFG Kettlebell User Course with Master SFG Phil Scarito. It was an excellent and well-attended event (40 registrants) and I always learn a lot assisting at these, so I worked all day.
I was at the gym early to get my training in. Still the weekend, so it was bodyweight training.
Training:
Primal Move WarmUp
Tactical Pull Up: 3 x 5. I stuck to a four count up and down, with a one second pause at the top and bottom.
Pistols: 3 x 5left/5right
One Arm One Leg Push Up: 3 x 5left/5right (for reps today, so assisted with a thin theraband).
I skipped rope for two minutes between exercises. I skip for active rest a lot; it lets me recover, gets skipping in which is always great, it's fun and it keeps the time moving.
Music: Feeling nostalgic today, so it was 80s alternative: Love and Rockets, The Cure, Joy Division, PIL, etc...
Juice Fast: Winter Solstice. Lots of good, warming juices with ginger, turmeric and cayenne. Perfect for this weather and extra tasty, too.
I continue to feel extremely good on the juice fast. I'm energetic, strong and told I'm much nicer than usual, whatever that means. That, and my cheekbones are amazing:)
