Good sleep last night, and longer than usual: a solid 7 hours! I had to sub out my kettlebell class yesterday and leave Five Points early to get home and help my son get supplies for his science project. So I got father-son time AND an early night. It was like Xmas came early.

Ab Work: Ab Wheel, 2 x 10
Skill Training:
Partner counter drills: 6 x 4 min rounds/30 sec rest
Techical (light) sparring: 5 x 4 min rounds/30 sec rest
Wednesday is a long day with classes all day and in to the night. But I had a very good time today, too. Firstst, my partner for drills was one of our longtime fighters and 2x World Champion Emily Bearden. It's always good training with Emily; she's quick, experienced and tricky -- and I can't rely on my size -- so it really makes me work on speed and tight defense. Then I did pad work with Greg Rowe. One of our A-class fighters who is already making a big mark, Greg won the WKA Amateur World Championships and holds multiple -- as in many -- titles. Training the active fighters is always great, as I have to work as hard as they do in order to keep them improving. Fun stuff.
